Meet Us

History

While interested in design and art at an early age, my professional life actually began in the restaurant industry. That experience deeply ingrained a few core principles that have made our business unique to the white collar world:

1.) Quality. We have a fierce dedication to craft and attention to detail. As with food, anyone can make a pretty dish. Craftsmanship, however, is what delivers a pleasant overall experience. We source and finesse quality components that build solid products at affordable prices.

2.) Sense of urgency. It’s very important that we exceed expectations and deliver on time (if not ahead of time). Because we’ve been successful and blessed with many new clients, it’s critical that we complete your project on time so that we can do the same for the client that follows you.

3.) Customer service. If you’re not happy with your website or marketing services you won’t tell your friends. Because we’re so small we thrive on referrals and we prefer it that way. Referral clients trust us, and for this reason they’re easier to work with, and often receive a better product. If we burn bridges (or simply don’t exceed your expectations at a great value) we cannot continue to grow.

Long story short, I transitioned out of the restaurant business in 2006 and, after intense study, began work as a web designer for a small firm in Northern Minnesota. At this firm my focus was website maintenance, search engine optimization, and paid search engine marketing.  I was fortunate to be thoroughly trained in each of the major disciplines of internet marketing; design, development, SEO, PPC and so on. This is also unique to the web development world as it’s rare that one person can oversee all aspects of a successful website launch and marketing campaign.

In 2007 I began taking clients on a freelance basis and we launched Minnesota Internet. Since that time a lot has been learned. Our key to success has clearly revealed itself as the ability to truly understand our clients and their businesses. It’s something that demands personal relationships, great customer service, and one-on-one attention. We excel in each of these areas, which is why we recently re-branded Minnesota Internet, Inc. (a somewhat sterile identity and first impression for new clients) as hirejacob.com. It better matches the personal, friendly, and fun nature of what we do.
