Thomson Reuters – WestlawInsider

The Challenge

Westlaw, a division of Thomson Reuters, needed to redesign WestlawInsider. WestlawInsider is a blog used to engage WestlawNext users and offer tips and tricks for optimal use of the product. The client needed an entirely new look & feel to match WestlawNext branding as well as a wholesale renovation of site architecture. The content team was also experiencing significant technical pain with the previous WordPress blog because it wasn’t built with future-proof best practices.

The Solution

As part of the 3five Design team I lead the project with an intense focus on simplicity and engagement. We implemented a proprietary social network, condensed categories and implemented intesive custom theme options. The client now has the ability to not only add content, but manipulate major design elements at will. See an article on the Thomson Reuters site here. Special thanks to Martin Sawinski who organized client deliverables & content integration as well as Nick Zlonis for his elegant and standards compliant development.
